'Plain Dane' Leather Collar - EX-MARKET STOCK
The 'Plain Dane' Collar is an original style collar made from vegetable tanned, full grain leather. This collar is our most popular design. We use solid brass hardware which is rust proof, and will last a lifetime.
Why is this product discounted [you want to know why it's cheaper than the other 'Plain Dane' listing, right]?
It is ex-market stock. We have a big box full of it. And since making it [well before Coronavirus was a thing], we have changed our crafting methods + stlye [eg pointed tip ends, raw edges]. We no longer use the same chocolate or natural hides which have been used to craft this stock - and the natrual leather may have a deep patina already. There may be a few marks on these items from rubbing in the box. And we have changed our sizing scale [so read these carefully below]. In short, there is nothing wrong with these products, they are just not the same as the items we are making at present and want them to go to a good home.
Before sending this item to you, we will refresh it for you [try to remove any marks - give it a quick polish].
What else can we do with them for you? We can shorten them for you if you confirm that you don't care that there may be a hole in the tongue, close to the end of the tip. We will make it as far back from the tip as possible - but we are limited by hole spacing [1.5cm apart on XS/S + 2cm on M/L/XL].
For example, if your dog's neck size is 25cm - you could order the Size Small you request the collar is shortened to remove too much excess. Similarly, if there is no Size Small left in the colour you want, you could order the Medium or Large and ask that we shorten that for you also. That is a 2 second job!

It is imperitive that you measure your dog's neck (do NOT measure their collar!). You can find instructions on how to do this, HERE. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for collars where you have provided an incorrect measurement.
- For a 'PERFECT FIT' collar, enter your dog's neck measurement in the Custom Field [ eg. 34cm Perfect Fit ]. We will then make your collar with the measurement you provide, as the middle hole.
- We can also make our 'PUPPY FIT' collars - where the current neck measurement is the smallest hole and we leave room for your puppy to grow through the sizes: enter [ eg. 28cm Puppy Fit ] in the Custom Field.
- If you leave the Custom Field EMPTY, you will receive a collar in the 'STANDARD FIT' sizing, outlined in the Info Section.
